We believe that no matter where you are in the world, mothers have the same goal for their daughters…to live a full, health, happy life. We want girls to learn about other girls in other countries to see how similar we all are and how many of our fears and concerns are the same. We want girls to learn from each other and see the world outside of their own personal community.

I was a teen mother and alone to raise my daughter. As I reflect I wondered why I made the choices I did. My goal is to eradicate teen pregnancy and health risk behaviors. I want girls to make choices that are good for them and enhance their lives. I understand that when you empower a girl.. you empower a nation. 

 

Our thought is: When girls see each other as “One Girl, One World” they will be more apt to support each other, work with each other and stand up for each other.

 

MDC is committed to position girls to speak out and join the global fight for girls. We learn about girls throughout the world, their struggles and their victories and we work to be a part of the change.
